Photosynthesis

Duration: About 1 hour

Students will investigate what water plants need and produce when carrying out photosynthesis using an MGA datalogger with a dissolved oxygen (DO) sensor and a pH sensor. They will learn how to handle relevant concept-application questions and further develop their process and thinking skills. They will also recognize how photosynthesis helps reduce the effect of global warming. The process skills that will be developed through this lesson are: Observing, Comparing, Using datalogger equipment, Inferring and Analyzing.
