Magnets Part 3: How to Make a Magnet and Reduce its Strength

Students will first recognize the meaning of “magnetize”. They will investigate how to make a magnet by the stroke method and the electrical method as well as how to reduce the strength of a magnet. They will also learn how to handle relevant concept-application questions and further develop their process skills and thinking skills. The process skills that will be developed through this lesson are: Observing, Comparing, Using datalogger equipment, Inferring and Analyzing.
