Human Systems Part 1: Human Circulatory System

Duration: About 1 hour

Students will recognize the organs of a human circulatory system and their functions and how heart rate can be measured manually and automatically using an MGA datalogger with a heart rate sensor. They will investigate how the extent of exercise affects heart rate. They will learn how to handle relevant concept-application questions and further develop their process and thinking skills. The process skills that will be developed through this lesson are: Observing, Comparing, Using datalogger equipment, Inferring and Analyzing.
