Change of State Part 1: Basics of Change of State and Melting
Duration: About 1 hour
Students will investigate the change in temperature and heat flow with regard to melting of ice using an MGA datalogger with 2 temperature sensors. They will also construct some essential concepts on melting. They will learn how to handle relevant concept-application questions and further develop their process and thinking skills. They will also be aware of the effects of global warming. The process skills that will be developed through this lesson are: Observing, Comparing, Using datalogger equipment, Inferring and Analyzing.
